Music and Fire: Festival in the Park

Doesn't every child want to be a firefighter?

On September 7, 2024, the Village of Minoa hosted the lively 11th Annual Festival in Lewis Park, and what a blast it was! The afternoon kicked off with upbeat tunes from Tom Chick, getting everyone in the mood. By evening, the fun turned up a notch with Mood Swings, and the energy was contagious.

Craft and food vendors filled the Pole Barn, adding to the festive atmosphere as people danced along to the music. Outside, Bob Barker’s Food Truck was a hit, especially with those deep-fried Oreos that everyone was raving about.

The Minoa Fire Department stole the show, bringing out several fire apparatus, including the impressive ladder truck. Kids and parents had a blast exploring the equipment and imagining themselves as firefighters.

As the sun set, department members fueled the excitement by stacking the straw onto the pile of pallets prepared by Minoa DPW. When the fireworks lit up the sky, the cheers were loud, but when the bonfire was finally lit, it was the crowning moment that banished the evening chill.

A huge thanks to the Mayor, DPW, and Fire Department of the Village of Minoa and everyone involved in making this event such a memorable and fun-filled day!
