A Favorite Son

August 26, 2024. It was an ordinary Monday meeting of the Minoa Fire Department, when in strode Alec-Dimitri Furdui. What a welcome surprise! He participated in the Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter during his year at ESM, 2023-2024. 

Alec is a native of Romania but has been adopted by the Minoa community. His firefighter and EMT brothers and sisters have a special place in their hearts for this dedicated and hard-working young man.

Coincidentally, that very night, the Department was preparing to send him his firefighter regalia. Everyone was pleased to present the regalia to him in person.

Alec will complete secondary school requirements in Romania. After that, he hopes to attend college in the U.S., perhaps following up with law school. We know that he will succeed in whatever endeavor the he puts his shoulder to.
